Hope & Glory

Bringing hope for God’s glory

Neither Roger or I have been too well lately. Seasonal viruses or other such health issues. So our sleeping patterns have been erratic.

Early this morning both of us were awake and I went to our large bedroom French doors to open the curtains and check the light.

What I saw stunned me. Rog took a photo. You may have to view this in a darkened room! Expand the image on your screen using two fingers.

Orion’s Belt – so clear!

Transcendent Glory

Feeling unwell causes self-focus, so to see the stars, brilliantly defined in a dark 5:30am sky, was a reminder of God’s transcendent glory!

The heavens proclaim His greatness! What is man that He is mindful of us?

And yet He is mindful of us. We are loved with an everlasting love! We are on His heart.

Worship the Star Maker

I drew the curtains together and we joined a wonderful early morning worship session live on Zoom. A few minutes later I couldn’t resist looking outside again to see if the stars were still bright.

Not only were they bright but we were treated to something else.

Wave after wave – travelling in a slightly staggered sequence from west to east across the sky – of many moving “stars”! What was this?! These very high points of light seemed almost to collide with other stars.

And then, to crown it all, a sudden shooting star! What a Light Show we were treated to!

Keep looking!

But, today, we thank God for each of you; who are more precious than the stars and were made as the crown of God’s creation.

And all glory to Jesus, Who wears the Crown of Crowns and is the True and Bright Morning Star.

“When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honour.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭8‬:‭3‬-‭5‬ ‭NIVUK‬‬

The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: ‘I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.”

Note: The mystery of the“stars” that moved…..these were likely to be a sequence of “Starlink” satellites that were moving into their own orbits. (They weren’t planes because they were too high, with no winking lights. ) We saw a great number of them! Check for your location.

I love it when we can connect with our creator through the universe he made for us to live in! I’m glad you had that lovely experience.

Thank you dear Aaran. Yes, it is amazing when we grasp that we have a relationship with the Lord of all creation! All the glory is His! X
