All Things New
Thank You!
First, a thank you. Thank you for subscribing to this occasional blog. We pray that it will bring some new hope into areas of all our lives where it has felt deferred for a while. So, please do share your comments and prayers and testimonies. We desire to give God the glory!
“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.”
Proverbs 13:12 NIV
Personal testimony
For many of you who know us, you will remember that there was a painful period of seven years when we were estranged from son and family, including two (now teenage) granddaughters. It was definitely a work of the enemy of families.
As we write this we are on holiday in Devon with them! And very joyfully so!

The reconciliation has been building gently for a couple of years. The Lord always personally promised us by His Word that the hearts of the children would turn to the “fathers” (or parents) and He keeps His promises! Our personal testimony is that the “Spirit of Elijah” is now here.
““Keep watching, for I am sending you the prophet Elijah before that great and fearful day of Yahweh arrives. He will return the fathers’ hearts to their children and the children’s hearts to their fathers so that I can come and bless and not strike the land with a curse.””

The Passion Translation of those well known verses at the end of the Old Testament is where we have believed by faith that we are at in this nation right now. Our hearts have been longing for our children for years!
And our deepest desire is that not only will they return to us but to God….
New Wine 2025
We have just been at the New Wine 2025 Festival in Shepton Mallet, along with some 16,000 others! The last time we were there was 2012, so it has been a long time….
“And who would pour fresh, new wine into an old wineskin? Eventually the wine will ferment and make the wineskin burst, losing everything—the wine is spilled and the wineskin ruined. Instead, new wine is always poured into a new wineskin so that both are preserved.””
Matthew 9:17 TPT

As this blog is called Hope & Glory, so we wanted to share what we encountered during our time there. Over 800 churches, of various types, were represented.

There was a sense of oneness. It was a family gathering.
The worship was very Spirit filled and we observed that the focus was always on Jesus.
The Presence of God was great!
The Love of God was tangible!
There were many, many healings. I, Kate, prayed for several people and rejoiced at the release of the healing authority of Jesus in different ways, including:
- A young woman with neck problems who had been seeing the doctor for a year, gave testimony that she had been healed. A physical knot in her neck disappeared! Praise Him!
- A woman struggling with personal issues was released in her identity and God given purpose.
The Joy of the Lord was imparted and received!
More to come…
So, take heart, dear friends and family.
We heard testimony of the “quiet revival” that has begun in our nation.
The message is to keep interceding for the greater harvest!
There is Hope and it will be for His Glory!
“Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you. Now we offer up to God all the glorious praise that rises from every church in every generation through Jesus Christ—and all that will yet be manifest through time and eternity. Amen!”
